Reprint of a life of Harvey, with chapters on his connections with Folkestone and Canterbury. The author of this biography, Dr Louis Chauvois (1881-1972), was a distinguished French physician and medical historian. Hence it includes a scholarly approach in surveying Harvey's medical works. A French edition was simultaneously published with the first English one of 1957.
