Welcome to Marrin’s Bookshop. Established in 1946 by George Marrin, we have sold antiquarian books, literary ephemera, rare maps, and unique prints from our Folkestone premises on Sandgate Road for more than 50 years.Patrick worked with his father George from the age of 17, very sadly Patrick passed away on the 30th of march 2022 aged 67,after a short illness, he is greatly missed.

We take pride in sourcing out-of-print titles and first editions for our clients, and have a large H.G. Wells collection in particular, as well as numerous rare volumes pertaining to the history of the town of Folkestone and Kent in general.

We are members of the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA), an organisation with rigorous ethical standards regulating the trade.

The shop is open Wednesday – Saturday 10am till 1pm | 2.30pm – 5.00pm.
