4to. 8.25 x 6.75 inches. vii + [i] + 83 + [1] pp. + [4] pp. publisher's advertisements. Bound in original blue cloth with floral borders enclosing roundel with part of frontispiece imag image and yellow and green titles. Extremities worn, including edges, corners and head and tail of spine. Flyleaves browned, but otherwise s very good copy. 1928 gift inscription on first free endpaper. Illustrated by 6 tipped in colour plates, including frontispiece. Decorated by publisher's device on verso of title. Scarce juvenile title by Elinor Frances Barrington-Kennett (1848-1933), first published, c.1920-21, following her other sibling title, Four Little Brothers, c.1916-17. Featuring the artwork of Gordon Browne (1858-1932), prolific children's book illustrator.
