Some wear to extremities and foxing of page edges; otherwise a very good set. Signed by author on first free endpapers (The Tudor Rose has gift inscription). The Tudor Rose illustrated by genealogical table. Three historical novels by Margaret Campbell Barnes (1891-1963) who was a bestselling fiction writer. The retitled The Passionate Brood relates the story of Berengaria of Navarre, Queen of Richard I; the chief protagonist of The Tudor Rose is Elizabeth of York, daughter of Edward IV and sister of the Princes in the Tower, and who later married Henry Tudor; Isabel the Fair (Isabella of France) was unhappily married to Edward II.
