Bound in the original maroon quarter morocco with the title in gilt on the spine, over the original buff ribbed buckram boards. The upper board has an original embossed title piece reading 'T.S.Coopers Designs for Cattle Pictures'. The binding is in very good condition only very slightly rubbed. The title page is foxed and there is some foxing to the plates but this is mostly marginal all the original paper guards are present as are the end-papers, very rare in this fine original condition.

Westwood in his exhaustive bibliography of Coopers lithographs. He further says ' complete volumes in original bindings are extremely rare'.
