4to. 7.25 x 5.5 inches. 82 + [1] pp. + [3] pp. publisher's advertisements, including series lists. Bound in original brown cloth, gilt, over pictorial boards. Extremities worn and light foxing of preliminary pages; otherwise a very good copy. Signature of J. Romilly Roget on first free endpaper. Decorated by device on title page. Play by George Dunning Gribble, editor of Giacomo Casanova: His Life and Memoirs (Routledge, 1930). Casanova appears as a character in the play, with other historical characters. This copy was owned by John Romilly Roget (1905-1993) who was the grandson of John Lewis Roget, the compiler of the famous thesaurus, recorded by an ink inscription.
