Item Description
FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 9.5 X 6.25 inches. 410 pp. Bound in quarter light blue over dark blue cloth, gilt, in pictorial dust wrapper (with author's photograph on rear wrapper), which has a little edge wear; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by two maps. Pictorial endpapers. First edition, first printing, Le Carr? in unclipped dust wrapper, the author's sixteenth novel. It is a satirical account of intelligence activities in Panama City, where an expatriate British tailor and a young MI6 agent set up a lucrative but fictitious spy network, ultimately leading to a western invasion to topple the government.
