Some browning of edges, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by portrait frontispiece and by 12 pages of black and white plates. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. An account of the fate of the Hungarian Jews under the Nazi Final Solution in 1944-45. In particular it relates the life of Hannah Sanesh (1921-44), who had returned to Hungary in 1944, from Palestine, where she had emigrated. She was part of a rescue mission attempting to prevent the slaughter, but was executed by the Germans in that year.
