FIRST EDITION IN DUST WRAPPER. 4to. 4.75 x 7.25 inches. 79 pp. In orange card wrapper, in red dust wrapper, which has lightly sunned spine with a few chips. Extremities a little worn and some light foxing of preliminaries and and small stain at foot of some pages; otherwise a very good copy. Harold Monro (1879-1932, born in Brussels and educated at Radley and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, published his first volume of poetry in 1906. He founded the Poetry Magazine and opened the Poetry Bookshop in Bloomsbury in 1913, encouraging young poets. This selection of his verse was made by his second wife, Alida.
