A few scattered instances of foxing, including margins, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by frontispiece, by 34 pages of black and white plates and by folding ground plan. Illustrated account of the Royal College of Surgeons, which received its charter in 1800, after evolving from the London Livery Company of Barber-Surgeons of 1540. The history of this significant institution in the education of the medical profession by the abdominal surgeon, Zachary Cope (1881-1974).
