The biography of Jan Struther (a pseudonym, born Joyce Anstruther, later Maxtone Graham, 1901-53) for the English author, best known for her 1939 novel, Mrs Miniver. It featured the life of an English housewife, based on articles which first appeared in The Times. In 1942 it was transformed into a wartime drama and became a highly successful MGM film which won six Academy Awards. The book is written by her granddaughter, Ysenda Maxtone Graham.
