Bound in contemporary panelled calf; spines in compartments with raised bands, blind stamped decoration and gilt titles. Marbled endpapers. All edges gilt. A very good set. Armourial bookplates of Charles Lilburn. Illustrated by engraved portrait frontispiece (Vol. I). Decorated by publisher's devices on title pages. Edward Moxon (1801-58) was a personal friend and Wordsworth's publisher from 1835, bringing out a multi-volume edition of the collected works from 1836-37. Wordsworth later added notes to the poems. The Appendix to Volume VI contains his prefaces and dedications, etc. The publishing firm continued until 1871. A handsomely bound set.
