8vo. 7 x 5 inches. xiv + 698 pp. + [1] pp. colophon. Text in double columns. Bound in original blue cloth, gilt, with blind stamped borders to boards, spine decorated gilt. Some wear to extremities, including edges and head and tail of spine; otherwise a very good copy. 1945 gift inscription on recto of frontispiece. Illustrated by photographic portrait frontispiece. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. Standard edition of Robert Browning, based on the 1863 Oxford edition with additions up to 1889.
