Illustrated by 16 pages of black and white photographic plates, including facsimiles. The correspondence of the novelist, Evelyn Waugh (1903-66) and Nancy Mitford (1904-73), novelist and biographer and the eldest of the Mitford sisters, between 1944 and 1966. The editor, Charlotte Mosley, publisher, journalist and writer on the Mitfords, is the daughter in law of Diana Mitford, the third of the sisters, who married Sir Oswald Mosley.
