8vo. 8 x 5.25 inches. 234 pp. + [6] pp. publisher's advertisements. Bound in original red cloth, gilt, with gilt borders and block on front board. A little wear to head and tail of spine. Foxing of page edges; otherwise a bright clean copy. 1913 signature at head of title. An account in favour of land reform in Britain. The text is based on letters relating the condition of rural land tenure and farm tenancy in England and Scotland. The replies were solicited through a published letter written by Thomas Fisher Unwin (1848-1935), publisher, and his wife, Jane Cobden Unwin (1851-1947), radical Liberal politician.
