8v. 8.5 x 6.75 inches. 190 pp. + [2] pp. selected book reviews. Bound in original green cloth, gilt. Extremities worn, including corners and head and tail of spine, which is sunned and a little stained at base. Some foxing largely confined to margins, but, otherwise a very good copy. Occasional pencil notes in margin and longer text, p.79. 1917/18 gift inscriptions on verso of first free endpaper and half title and 1924 signature on first free endpaper. Newspaper cutting of 22 March 1929, Sicily in Spring, tipped on to recto of last free endpaper. Illustrated by decorative title block with borders, by map and by 24 colour plates. Account of the Isles of Scilly, its topography, history, industries, people and seabirds, etc. Written and illustrated by Jessie Mothersole (1873-1958), artist, writer and archaeologist. First edition 1910.
