Notes
This work was published anonymously but it is know to be by Sire David Hamilton who had become famous as a man-midwife and physician to Queen Anne, who knighted him. He became invaluable to the queen as her confidante and counsellor. He was a devout dissenting Christian and this work is a thorough examination of the religious controversy of his day.
