Synopsis

A comedy by t. s. eliot. partly inspired by the work of euripides, this was the most popular of eliot's seven plays in his lifetime, although now overtaken by murder in the cathedral. starting as a satire on the english drawing room comedy, it develops into a darker exposition of the human condition and relationships, employing absurdist elements.
