Extremities a little worn, with considerable wear to front board of Moor and Marsh. Foxing throughout, but otherwise very good copies. Signature on half title of Moor and Marsh. Illustrated by 19 plates, including frontispieces, by title page vignettes and by numerous wood engravings in text, A set of the two shooting volumes of the Badminton Library of Sports and Pastimes, both first published 1886. Lord Walsingham (1843-1919) was Conservative MP for West Norfolk 1865-70, before succeeding. Politician, cricketeer and lepidopterist, he was elected fellow of the Royal Society 1887. Sir Ralph Payne-Gallwey (1848-1916) was an engineer, ballistics expert and artist, who wrote on military and sporting history.
