Sylvie and Bruno Concluded, xxxi + [i] + 423 pp. Bound in original red cloth, decorated gilt, with roundels illustrating Sylvie and Bruno. the Professor and the Chancellor. Black endpapers and all edges gilt. Some wear to extremities and Sylvie and Bruno spine sunned; otherwise very good clean copies. Illustrated by 92 engravings, 18 full page, including frontispieces. Decorated by publisher's devices on verso of half titles. The last considerable work issued by Charles Dodgson which introduces serious subjects concerning life and science into these fairy tales; The indexes have useful cross references to the concepts and Dodgson interprets the two works in his prefaces. Cleverly illustrated by Harry Furniss.
