Oblong 4to. 9.75 x 11.75 inches. 80 pp. All text in French. Bound in original buff cloth, gilt, in unclipped pictorial dust wrapper. Slight damage to top right hand of spin, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 80 sepia photographic plates, numbered in text. Fifty five photographic plates of Breton people and scenes, including coastal views, taken 1911-13, by the photographer, Charles Lhermitte (1881-1945). Edited by Louis Guilloux(1899-1980), Breton writer of social realist novels.
