W little damage to one side of tail of spine and adjoining front board; otherwise a very good copy. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. The Selected poems had previously been published in Britain in 1940 and 51 editions, revised and expanded in 1969. Day Lewis was Poet Laureate 1957-72.
