Some damage to lower board edges and side of lower spine and a little foxing of fly leaves and edges; otherwise a very good clean copy. Bookplate. Illustrated by 12 text figures, including frontispiece and map in outline colour. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. A history of naval medicine and health at sea, including scurvy and naval hospitals, by Surgeon-Commander Richard Sydney Allison (1899-1978). Chapter VII was based on a journal article by the author. A scarce title.
