Extremities worn and occasional foxing and staining, various tears, not affecting legibility of text neatly repaired; otherwise a good copy. 1799 signature on first free endpaper and a few early ink notes in text. Expanded fifth edition of a French grammar with exercises, by Alexander Scot of the University of Paris. The first edition was published in 1781 and subsequent ones in 1791 and 1794, up to 1819.
