8vo. 6.5 x 4.25 inches. xii + 379 + [1] pp. Bound in maroon leather, gilt, decorated by blind stamped borders and gilt blocks including seal of College on both boards. Bevelled edges on boards. All edges gilt. Inner dentelles. Marbled endpapers. A little wear to extremities, including corners and head and tail of spine which is darkened. Rear hinge just starting to crack, foxing of flyleaves, and a few underlinings, etc. in text, but otherwise a very good copy. 1867 ornate Trinity College Dublin prize certificate in Latin on front pastedown. 1867 signature at head of title A handsomely bound Trinity College Dublin presentation. This edition of Poems by Alfred Tennyson was first published by Moxon in 1842.
