Notes
William Brinton (1823-67) of Kidderminster studied medicine at King's College, University of London and graduated MD in 1848, being elected a F.R.S in 1864. His chosen speciality was gastroenterology and this book was based on his London teaching hospital lectures. It is both a study of the human digestive system and its workings and a treatise on diet and food preparation.
