Minor wear to extremities, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 16 pages of black and white photographic plates. The first full length biography of Nora Barnacle, the chambermaid who ran off with James Joyce in 1904, the couple not finally marrying until 1931. Nora served as the model for Molly Bloom in Ulysses. By Brenda Maddox (1932-2019), US writer, who lived in Britain from 1959. She is best known for her literary and scientific biographies.
