Spine and part of boards sunned with loss of colour and a little spotting of edges; otherwise a very good copy. 1983 inscription on first free endpaper and ex libris sticker on foot of front pastedown. Copyright date crossed through in ink but still visible.

An account of the history of Nepal, including the Gurkha Conquest of 1768, the role of the East India Company, especially in the Nepal war of 1814-16 and of Nepal's two wars with Tibet, 1788-92 and 1854-56. Bhairava Dat Sanwal (b.1917) studied history at Allahabad and London, was called to the bar, joined the Indian Civil Service in 1941 and later worked as a magistrate, city administrator and Commissioner. Title printed in India.
