4to. 12.5 x 9.75 inches. vi + 373 + [1] pp. Bound in quarter brown leather over green boards with blind stamped decorations and lettering and gilt titles in centre; spine decorated with black folaige and gilt title. Red edges. Patterned endpapers. A little wear to extremities including bumped corners and top edge sunned; otherwise a very good clean copy. Illustrated by 29 pages of plates, including 5 colour maps (2 double page), 5 colour city plans and 19 photographic plates (one double page) and by 772 photographic text figures and 11 maps and plans in text. Decorated by vignettes and initial. Well illustrated Larousse topographical encyclopaedia of Spain and Portugal in the early twentieth century, by Paul Jousset, French writer on regional geography. According to WorldCat, thirty six editions of this title appeared, 1875-1978.
