Original issue of this newspaper containing a fascinating variety of notices and advertisements on the front page; the inside and back pages are a mixture of national and Kentish news and a Corn Exchange section which supplies corn and other commodity prices. Three men hired a hackney coach to proceed to a crossroads in Pimlico where they disinterred the body of a young man who had shot his father and himself and had it delivered to workhouse for a pauper's burial ground. A meeting of the Trustees of the Turnpike Road from Dover to Sandgate was to be held at Dover Guildhall to consider the reduction of tolls in accordance with a recent Act concerning the roads from Dover to Barham Downs and from Dover to Folkestone and on to Sandgate.
