Notes
Highly detailed sheet covering the entire county. For easy reference and engraved with a twenty-five square grid shows how the larger-scale sheets are divided. Thomas Kitchin, the well known engraver, produced this map for the publishers, and it remains important in Kentish cartography as the first 'modern' survey, here shown on one map. This outline of the county became something of a classic, it was widely copied and was still being used in the late nineteenth century. Further copies of the index map are available, priced according to finish.
