8vo. 8.75 x 5.5 inches. 251 pp. Bound in original blue cloth, gilt, in unclipped pictorial dust wrapper, which has chips at top edge and head and tail of spine, slight loss of review text on rear wrapper, a few stains and ink comments of author at foot of front wrapper. a little wear to extremities and browning of page edges and on title page; otherwise a very good copy. 1959 signature with note on purchase by owner on front pastedown. Illustrated by portrait frontispiece. An Arctic adventure of Peter Freuchen and 'his Eskimo wife, Navarana,' on the coast of Greenland. Lorenz Peter Elfred Freuchen (1886-1957) was a Danish explorer and author, taking part in the Thule Expeditions, 1912-33.
