Slight sunning at base of spine, top edge darkened, and some browning of fly leaves and spine, but otherwise a very good copy. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. An anthology containing fifteen narrative accounts selected from the narratives of polar explorers, ten from the Arctic and five from the Antarctic. Writers include Nansen, Peary, Amundsen, Shackleton and Cherry-Gerrard. First edition published 1957.
