A little sunning of top edges and some foxing confined to edges and preliminaries; otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 17 pages of black and white photographic plates, including frontispiece. Map endpapers. Historical account of the Brigade of Guards with an emphasis on the two World Wars. Lieutenant-Colonel Keith Rutherford Briant (1913-63) served in the Irish Guards in the North West Europe campaign and was with the leading armour which liberated Brussels in September 1944.
