Fine facsimile reproduction of the Diploma of Doctor of Medicine conferred on William Harvey in 1602, with a pamphlet of notes by Joseph Frank Payne (1840-1910). He served as physician to several London hospitals, was elected Harveian librarian to the College of Physicians in 1899, and wrote extensively on the history of medicine.
