Bound in original maroon cloth, gilt; spine with gilt decorative block and boards with black borders enclosing publisher's device. Rough cut edges. Extremities worn, including corners and head and tail; of spine; front hinge starting to crack, scattered foxing, including title page, and small tear at foot of dedication page; otherwise a very good copy. A collection of monumental inscriptions with a commentary, by William Fairley, mining engineer and author.
