Illustrated by photographs and by the author's etchings and pen drawings, including portrait frontispiece. Decorated by publisher's device on title page. Autobiography of the artist, Robin Tanner (1904-88). Born in Bristol, he studied at Goldsmith's College and went on to produce a fine series of etchings on rural themes and on nature, especially in North West Wiltshire. The title includes pen drawings from two books written with his wife, Heather, Wiltshire Village and Woodland Plants.
