Small 8vo, in fours. 8.75 x 5.25 inches. 28 pp. Bound in stiff card boards with decorative border enclosing title on front board, in price clipped dust wrapper, which has neat repairs at head and tail of spine. Minor edge wear and browning of flyleaves, otherwise a very good clean copy. Illustrated by portrait frontispiece. Decorated by device on title page. Poems dated 1934-41 by Patrick Hore-Ruthven (1913-42), of the Rifle Brigade and later of the newly formed SAS. His father, Lord Gowrie, was Governor-General of Australia and the preface is by his mother, Zara Gowrie (1879-1965). First published in Australia in 1943, this is a reprint of the Second Edition of 1944.
