A very interesting and well compiled account of this family deep rooted in Dover and it's harbour. The prominent Dover family who were merchants and in the case of Benjamin Jelly Worthington 1763 - 1822 deeply involved in the Revenue Service at the height of the smuggling era. He became Customs Cutter Commander responsible for one of the busiest sections of the south coast, and large sections of the book are devoted to this story.
