Notes
From his great English sea atlas Great Britain's Coasting Pilot. Such was its popularity, that despite being first published in 1693, it was issued throughout the eighteenth century. This chart is divided into thre areas. The first and largest being Burlington Bay from Hornley to Flamborough Head. The other areas, equal in size, show the ports and towns of old Hartlepool and of Scarborough, on their respective headlands.
