8vo. 8.25 x 5.5 inches. 263 + [1] pp. Bound in original green cloth, spine with contrasting green morocco title, gilt. Deckled fore edge. Spine and front board edges lightly sunned, but otherwise a very good copy. Signed by author on verso of half title, below limited edition statement. Novel by the German expressionist author, Leonhard Frank (1882-1961), first published in Leipzig, as Bruder und Schwester in 1929. Frank was a pacifist and socialist, who emigrated from Germany in 1914 and again in 1933. Translated by Cyrus Harry Brooks (1890-1951). Limited edition signed by author.
