A lavishly illustrated centennial history of the Welsh Guards, raised in 1915, a prestige title published to high production standards. This copy was presented to Captain Robert Cleveland-Stevens (1919-2019). A former conscientious objector at Oxford, he joined the Welsh Guards in 1942, served in Normandy, and led his tanks into Brussels in September 1944 after a fourteen hour armoured thrust.
