8vo. 5.75 x 8.75 inches. xxx + 423 pp. Bound in original blue cloth, gilt, in pictorial dust wrapper. Some light stains at top of first free endpaper and on fore edge, but otherwise a very good copy. An extensive collection of folk songs and ballads from the bush of the 1890s. Edited by the Australian poets, Douglas Stewart (1913-85) and Nancy Keesing (1933-93). It was first published in 1955 and in this Australian Classics edition in 1971.
