Notes
This charming view looks toward the eastern end of the church of St. Nicholas with a quaint thatched timber-framed cottage nearby. Some rustic figures are in the foreground and a fainter one emerges from the churchyard. The artist was, I would say, not a professional but a talented amateur, and the drawing is well observed, with the figures just a little weak. However the overall effect is very pleasing.
