A little wear and sunning to extremities, but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by drawings in colour, including vignette title page. Children's adventure story set on the Sussex coast, charmingly illustrated by the author and her daughter, Laurian Jones, at a tender age. Edith Algerine Bagnold, children's author and playwright, married Sir Roderick Jones in 1920. Her best known title is National Velvet (1935). Late reprint of the first edition of 1930.
