Some wear to extremities, browning of flyleaves and edges and occasional foxing, but otherwise a very good copy in a handsome binding. Illustrated by 6 chromolithographic plates, including frontispiece, and by numerous engravings in text. The Preface claims the book contains 2835 recipes. Model Cookery was first published in 1868; many of the subsequent versions were undated and the text of this new edition remained unchanged for about thirty years, although the number of plates differed. Similar copies in Library Hub are dated to 1893.
