Some wear to extremities, including slight damage to lower right hand corner of front board and fly leaves browned; otherwise a very good copy. 1924 inscription on first free endpaper. Decorated by border to opening page and by colophon at end. The Riccardi Press booklets were published, 1909-26, using a specially designed typeface. The Oxford text was the work of William James Craig (1843-1906). Educated at Trinity Dublin, he became Professor of English at University College Aberystwyth, He edited the first Oxford Shakespeare in 1891 and later became editor of the Arden Shakespeare series.
