FIRST EDITION. 8vo. 5.25 x 7.5 inches. 588 +  pp. publisher's advertisements. Title page in red and black. Bound in decorative pictorial boards with red titles. A little wear to extremities and scattered foxing, including flyleaves, but otherwise a very good copy. Decorated by publisher's device on half title. A late Victorian society novel relating the adventures of John Franklyn and Anthony Fuller. The pseudonymous authors are believed to be Henry Pottinger Stephens (1851-1903), journalist and writer of burlesques and comic operas and Ernest Wells. Stephens also used the name Henry Beauchamp. A scarce title.
