FIRST EDITION. FIRST ISSUE. 8vo. 7.75 x 5.25 inches. 287 + [1] pp. In stiff card boards decorated in silver, green and black, with plain spine with black titles. A little edge wear to extremities, but otherwise a very good copy with clean interior. Illustrated throughout by colour drawings, including verso of half title and title and dedication page. Extensively decorated by coloured bars, including title page. Correction slip tipped into p.24-25. The first edition, first issue, of the famous Savoy Cocktail Book, a collection of 750 cocktails, still in print today. Compiled by Harry Craddock (1876-1963), bartender at the Savoy, 1920-38, who had moved back to England from the US when Prohibition began. Beautifully decorated in period style by Art Deco artist Gilbert Rumbold (1896-1974).
