Small 8vo., 7.5 x 5 inches 140 + [2] pp. Bound in the original pictorial cloth lettered in black, spine skilfully re-backed, extremities a little rubbed but a fine copy of a cheaply produced popular title. With frontispiece portrait and 5 photographic plates. Scarce first English edition of this account of the great air ace the 'Red Baron', was a fighter pilot with the German Air Force during World War I. He is considered the ace-of-aces of the war, being officially credited with 80 air combat victories. He was killed over the Somme in April 1918 and this account of him rushed into print.
